Call for Content: Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy on Avenue C, New York City

Last week, from the Caribbean to New York City and beyond, millions of people endured Hurricane Sandy’s wrath. Photographs and video footage alike have captured her destruction and the aftermath. These images remain difficult to comprehend, especially for those who were lucky enough to be spared.

Living in Alphabet City, I watched as the water transformed Lower Manhattan’s Avenue C into a full-blown river of toxicity, covering cars and carrying rubbish and debris downstream.

Please share your photos, footage and experience of Hurricane Sandy so The New Context can collect them for a story we will publish in a few weeks, when Sandy’s aftermath is no longer in the mainstream news cycle.

Please include a description (or context) with any photos or videos and submit to thenewcontext@milanoschool.org

Thank you
